this is halloween: gothtober, screamathon, trick-or-t(read)athon | october tbr

welcome to my october tbr in which i feel like i’m drowning in all sorts of gore-y, thrilling and mysterious books. to counter that, i chose some light-hearted and non-murder books. as expected of the spooky month, all of the three readathon i’m joining are month-long halloween-related. frankly, i’m in love with the vibes. as someone who lives in a country that doesn’t celebrate halloween much, this is how i’ll be enjoying october.

also, HAPPY BIRTHDAY MONTH TO ME! although none of the books will be published on my brith date, i’m definitely having the best of times with all the new releases that are coming out this month.

october will be a busy month for this blog. i was accepted to a few blog tours for upcoming releases such as kingdom of the wicked by kerri maniscalco, i hope you’re listening by tom ryan and a golden fury by samantha cohoe. much excitement!! and netgalley approved some ARCs for me which i have to read soon and those reviews will be up the day before the book’s publishing date. keep a look out for those.

ARCS that i need to get to:
☾ phoenix extravagant by yoon ha lee
☾ these violent delights by chloe gong
☾ a golden fury by samantha cohoe
☾ the once and future witches by alix e. harrow
☾ the burning god by r.f. kuang

life update: i was suppose to start work from october. after much consideration, i decided not to accept the job offer so now i’m back to having quite a bit of time on my hands. which means that i’ll be reading as much as i can until i find another job, hence this long list of books.

click on the twitter accounts for more information for each readathon~

  2. The themes of these giveaways are just great. I love October (not my birthday month though) and as fall is my favourite season, I am most excited for all the nice books coming out, hehe. Kingdom of the Wicked is on my tbr as well as Scorpio Races. Let’s see how those ones turn out.

    1. i need to hear your thoughts on kingdom of the wicked but i’ll probably need to wait for about a month since it only comes out nearer the end of october. I’M IN AGONY. hope you have a great reading month, linda 💖
