keeping it chill in august | tbr

Hello! We’re seven months into the year and I still feel like I’m in March. Why does this feel so exhausting? Although it’s hard to find the silver lining in this already incredibly long marathon, I’m looking forward for an end to all of this mess we find ourselves in. Got fully vaccinated during the weekend! I hate needles but it’s a necessary move for the betterment of my health and the safety of everyone else around me. Hope you’re getting yours soon, if you haven’t.

Life has been a little hectic these days as an employee at my workplace is leaving for university. Although he’ll still be helping with things while studying, I’m just overwhelmed with more responsibilities. I don’t see this as a negative thing considering that my bosses are pretty chill and nice. They made the transition process as easy and smooth as possible for me. It does help when I enjoy what I do.

For August, I’m attempting to tick off some of the larger books on my TBR like Chain of Iron by Cassandra Clare, Empire of Storm by Sarah J. Maas and The Sword of Summer by Rick Riordan. With just just a handful of months left in 2021, I need to complete my four year-long reading challenges soon. Wish me luck!

Because of that, I’ll be taking August with more relaxed attitude. I’m only joining two readathon this month: Round two of Among Us Readathon and Pixarathon. The total books on my August TBR is fifteen! If I have the time and energy to read for more readathon prompts, I’ll probably do that. Since I joined the first round as an imposter, I’m participating as a red crewmate this time! Out of the multiple routes, I’ve decided to go with the more adventurous route.
