will i read 400 books this year? | december tbr

With December here, I believe everyone is in the festive mood of celebrating Christmas! πŸŽ„πŸŽ„ Personally, I don’t really celebrate the holiday since there isn’t such a tradition in general. I hope wherever you are, you’re spending time with your loved ones and cherishing every moment.

There aren’t a lot of personal updates but I’ve actually found a higher paying, full time job and will be starting soon. I’m excited yet terrified about this new change. Not sure what I can expect from this new company too. Regardless, I think it will be a great learning experience for me.

As for my reading progress, I’m trying to pass my new goal of 400 books on Goodreads by the end of 2021. With the books that I already plan to read, I’m confident that the goal is reachable. The thing is whether I will be able to find the time or not. With my new job, I might not have that much free time to read anymore so I’m bummed out about that. Hopefully things would work out!

In December, I’m joining 3 readathon. The first is Historical Romance Readathon and the second is Fairytale Readathon. Finally, for Reindeer Readathon, I’m in team Candy Cane! In this final month of the year, I’ll be scrambling to finish the books I’ve set out to read in my year-long challenges at the beginning of 2021. Turns out, they’re pretty hefty and dense novels so I have work cut out for me. Whether I reach my goal of 400 or not, I’m just going to have fun.

2022 will probably be a hectic year, full of uncertainties and worries, but I know I’ll be fine if I have books to read. Anyway, on with the books I’m reading this December!
