Hello everyone! Welcome to a new type of post on my blog. I’ve been thinking about this for a while but never did anything about it until now. Since it’s Asian Heritage Month, I thought I should just go for it.
For Author Check-Ins, I’ll be picking a specific author and highlighting all the books that I’ve read, haven’t read, and upcoming releases that I’m looking forward to. This is by no means a comprehensive list of the particular author’s works.
First up is β¨ Roshani Chokshi β¨. An amazing author, Roshani Chokshi always captivated my attention with her stories. Whether it be middle grade or young adult, I was there for everything. I found out about the author when The Gilded Wolves became a thing on Bookstagram/BookTwitter. I couldn’t run away from it and decided to pick one book up by her. From then, I’m hooked. Roshani Chokshi’s one of the authors that I will always read from.

Although The Star-Touched Queen was Roshani Chokshi’s debut, I didn’t read it until I started TGW trilogy and Pandava series. I can definitely see where the hype came from with this duology as her first series.
Roshani Chokshi’s ability as a brilliant storyteller is obvious from her first book.
Aru Shah’s an incredible character to follow through the whole series. I loved her tenacity and bravery. Throughout the five books, Aru Shah had her ups-and-downs. The first middle grade in Roshani Chokshi’s list, and I’m already waiting for more.

I can’t believe that The Gilded Wolves was my first introduction to Roshani Chokshi’s books. TGW threw me off emotionally that I had to take a whole year break before picking up The Silvered Serpent. π
I still need to read the finale but I’m terrified of what may come for my favorite characters in this trilogy. Will they all survive till the end?
Only read this short story recently but Roshani Chokshi managed to capture me from page 1. No complains from me.

That’s the end of the first Author Check-In! I’m already looking into more authors that I’ve been following for a while. It’s also a way for me to handle my TBR pile, I guess. Anyway, this is just a little fun idea for myself. Hope you enjoyed!

This is such a cool type of post! Looking forward to seeing more from you like this!
